Graham Southall recently retired from his role at The Co-operative Group and from The Co-operative Credit Union board. Many of our members will be familiar with the enormous contribution made by Graham Southall to The Co-operative Credit Union. As a founder member, his passion, integrity and endless support underpinned every achievement that we have seen over nearly two decades.
Our outgoing Chairman, David Dickman, took the opportunity to say a few words of appreciation for Graham’s contribution to the credit union at Graham’s official retirement party in Angel Square, ‘We have made Graham our first ever Life Time President to recognise his huge impact on our organisation. In addition there will be an annual Graham Southall Award which will be used to recognise an outstanding contributor to the credit union, by an individual, volunteer, supporter or employee each year.
Linda Edwards, CEO, said, ‘We send Graham all our love and best wishes for the future. And as our Life Time President we will always keep him at the heart of our credit union. We will miss so much about Graham, from valuable points made at board meetings to practical help such as helping us source equipment for the office. Whilst Graham’s retirement is sad news for us we suspect that after a long career he rather deserves a rest!’
