How our Year is Shaping Up So Far
Since the start of the financial year, we’ve welcomed 1217 new members and granted 1743 loans to the value of £1.8 million. Loans granted ranged from £100 for a car repair, to £17,000 for a brand new car.
We’ve helped our members getting their credit and store cards sorted out, as well as with funds for home improvements, weddings and well-earned holidays.
Whether members needs are small or large, we’re here to help, with a range of affordable loans available from £50 to £15,000.
Our New Look!
From now on, we’ll be known simply as The Co-op Credit Union and we’ve adopted a new logo and colour scheme.
The new look was launched at the Co-op AGM in Manchester on 19th May and is now being rolled out across all our communications channels.
Welcoming Co-op CEO, Steve Murrells to The Credit Union
Steve joined as part of our activities during Co-operatives Fortnight, and said, “it’s a great example of how Co-op does things differently”.
Steve also recorded a short video encouraging people from around the Co-op to take find out more and join up.
Introducing our New Chair: David Fawell
In March this year, David Fawell took over as Chair of The Co-op Credit Union. David has previously undertaken senior management roles across payments, credit cards and personal loans, marketing, planning, and finance at The Co-operative Bank.
Chris Smith has stepped down from the Chair and now takes a place on the board of directors.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Chris for his valuable contribution as Chair as we welcome David on board.
