Our online member access is now live. It’s a great way to put your account information at your fingertips.

You can check your balance statement, make withdrawals and send secure messaging. It’s the quickest way to manage your account and you can use it anytime, anywhere.

You’ll just need your membership number and a few details to get started and the whole process only takes a few minutes with automatic registration.

How our Year is Shaping Up So Far

Since the start of the financial year, we’ve welcomed 1217 new members and granted 1743 loans to the value of £1.8 million. Loans granted ranged from £100 for a car repair, to £17,000 for a brand new car.

We’ve helped our members getting their credit and store cards sorted out, as well as with funds for home improvements, weddings and well-earned holidays.

Whether members needs are small or large, we’re here to help, with a range of affordable loans available from £50 to £15,000.

Our New Look!

As you may have spotted, we’ve had a makeover to bring our branding up to date and in line with our co-op partners across the movement. From now on, we’ll be known simply as

From now on, we’ll be known simply as The Co-op Credit Union and we’ve adopted a new logo and colour scheme.

The new look was launched at the Co-op AGM in Manchester on 19th May and is now being rolled out across all our communications channels.

Welcoming Co-op CEO, Steve Murrells to The Credit Union

Steve Murrells joins The Co-op Credit UnionWe’re delighted to welcome Steve Murrells, Co-op CEO, on board as a new member of The Co-op Credit Union.

Steve joined as part of our activities during Co-operatives Fortnight, and said, “it’s a great example of how Co-op does things differently”.

Steve also recorded a short video encouraging people from around the Co-op to take find out more and join up.

Introducing our New Chair: David Fawell

David FawellIn March this year, David Fawell took over as Chair of The Co-op Credit Union. David has previously undertaken senior management roles across payments, credit cards and personal loans, marketing, planning, and finance at The Co-operative Bank.

Chris Smith has stepped down from the Chair and now takes a place on the board of directors.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Chris for his valuable contribution as Chair as we welcome David on board.
