The Co-operative Credit Union Awarded Prestigious Grant Funding

Co-operative Credit Union representatives recently attended an event at the House of Commons organised by Lloyds Bank to celebrate the award of a £100,000 grant from the Lloyds Banking Group Credit Union Development Fund.

The Lloyds Banking Group Credit Union Development Fund is contributing £4m to the credit union sector over the next few years. The fund is being managed by the Credit Union Foundation and an independent Grants Committee which makes the decisions about the awards.

The Co-operative Credit Union was one of only six credit unions who were awarded the maximum grant of £100,000. The large grants were given for a specific purpose which was to build up reserves to support future expansion. We felt that the grant award was a great vote of confidence in our plans for the future.
